      広東省の紫砂風陶器

      福建省との境に位置する広東省東部の潮州・汕頭地域は、丁寧に手間をかけて茶を淹れて楽しむ工夫茶と呼ばれる中国茶文化の発祥の地と言われています。また、紫砂というと江蘇省宜興市のものというイメージですが、他にも紫砂と呼ばれる茶器を作る地域は存在し、そのうち比較的有名なのは潮州のものです。こちらでも手作りの茶壺は存在するのですが、宜興と違いろくろを使って作ります。また、手作り以外に型に流し込んで作る大量生産に長け、表面と中で違う色の泥土を使い、安価な品が多いのもこの地域の茶具の特徴です。とりあえず当店では紫砂風、という呼び方をすることにしました。
      さて、こちらはその紫砂風、型に流し込んで作った茶壺です。表面に光沢はなく、ぱっと見には紫砂のよう。でも蓋のはまりが甘かったり茶漉し部の造作が簡素であったり、全体に粗さがあります。梅の花や枝の形を取り入れた報春壺という伝統的な形ですが、彫刻して貼り付ける宜興の紫砂と違って型で作るため、エッジのシャープさがなく丸みを帯びた感じになります。慣れると、このゆるさが味なのかもしれません。

      ※表面の泥土が平らでなかったり、へこみやでっぱり、加工の跡が見えるなど、完全ではない部分があります。
