      白磁の都、福建省の徳化県で作られている、象牙のように薄い色のある白磁に、力強い黒で描かれた竹の図案の聞香杯です。竹は梅・松とともに歳寒三友に数えられ、寒さに耐え、曲がることのない力強さがあり、正直で実直な性格を象徴します。また、生命力が強く寿命も長いことから長寿・安寧を表すものとして好んで用いられています。
      また、聞香杯はお茶の香りを楽しむ茶器です。縦長の聞香杯に茶を注いでから、背の低い品茗杯にお茶を移し、空になった聞香杯の香りをお楽しみ下さい。
