      徳化県の白磁の聞香杯

      中国三大古磁都のひとつと言われる徳化県では今も磁器の生産が盛んです。聞香杯は茶の香りを楽しむための背の高い杯です。茶を聞香杯に注ぎ、聞香杯から品茗杯に注ぎます。空になった聞香杯にわずかに残る茶湯から立つ香りを楽しんだ後、品茗杯の茶を飲む、というのが茶芸の手順です。厚と名づけたのは当店で販売している他の聞香杯との比較ですが、縁の部分まである程度の厚さがあるので多少欠けにくいという意味があるでしょう。
